Mount Rushmore, South Dakota

Mount Rushmore, Keystone, South Dakota – The 60-foot (18m) tall faces of four American presidents (George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln) stare out from the granite rock faces of the Black Hills in Keystone. The Black Hills is considered sacred ground for indigenous people and this area was taken from them by the government after a series of bloody battles.
